Aria Care is a leading care group operating over 67 homes across England, with a strong focus on providing clean, safe, and welcoming environments for both residents and staff. With over 2,700 colleagues and a deep-rooted culture of respect, dignity, and kindness, Aria continually looks for ways to align daily operations with its core values and long-term sustainability goals.
In 2024, the group reached a new milestone in that mission by implementing a sector-first: the adoption of n-kind, Blueleaf’s exclusive range of plant-based cleaning products, as the sole housekeeping solution across all its care homes.
The Challenge
While Aria Care had already set high standards for hygiene and safety, the team recognised a need to further align its operational practices with a growing commitment to environmental responsibility. How we did it
Aria Care worked closely with Blueleaf over a six-month period to introduce and embed n-kind into every home. This wasn’t just a product switch—it was a transformation in approach.
Key elements of the rollout included:
- Product Trials & Customisation: Blueleaf and Aria co-developed best practices based on in-home trials, ensuring the solution met both performance and operational needs.
- Tailored Cleaning Guide: A robust, easy-to-follow cleaning manual was created to support consistency and quality across all locations.
- Team Engagement: Aria implemented a full training programme for housekeeping and laundry staff, ensuring everyone understood the new system and felt part of the journey.
- System Integration: A new unified cleaning schedule and auditing process were introduced to enhance visibility and compliance.
