Kisimul Group strengthens sustainability strategy through partnership with Blueleaf Care

Kisimul Group has strengthened its environmental and operational sustainability approach through a partnership with Blueleaf Care, supporting a transition to more environmentally conscious cleaning solutions across its services.

An example of this partnership in action was at Tigh Abaid, where children and staff recently took part in a half-term gardening and biodiversity activity, designed to encourage environmental awareness and support local wildlife. As part of the session, children created bug hotels in the home’s gardens, alongside wider gardening club activities that promote wellbeing, life skills and engagement with nature.

The event reflects Kisimul’s wider commitment to embedding sustainability into everyday practice across its homes, ensuring environmental responsibility is reflected not only in strategy, but also in day-to-day experiences for children and staff.

Alongside this, Kisimul has worked in collaboration with Blueleaf Care to build a tailored partnership, focused on its operational requirements and ESG objectives. A key element of this transition has been the introduction of Blueleaf Care’s plant-based n-kind cleaning range, aligned with the organisation’s ambition to reduce environmental impact while maintaining high standards of care delivery.

Rather than a standard supplier change, the transition was built around a partnership-led approach, including structured onboarding, staff training and ongoing account management support to ensure consistency and confidence across services.

This has enabled a smooth implementation across sites, where staff were supported by thorough training to ensure correct product use from day one and minimal disruption to daily operations.

Adam Henderson, Director of Corporate Services at Kisimul Group said: “Sustainability is a key part of our long-term strategy, and we are committed to embedding it meaningfully across our services. Working with Blueleaf Care has enabled us to take a structured and supported approach to change, ensuring our teams feel confident and well-prepared throughout the transition. The partnership has been well managed, clearly communicated, and aligned with our wider ESG ambitions.”

Ellen Ward of Blueleaf Care added: “Kisimul Care Group has a clear and considered approach to sustainability, and it has been a pleasure to support them in implementing practical changes across their services. Our focus has been on ensuring a smooth transition through training, structured onboarding and ongoing support, helping to embed new practices with confidence across teams.”

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving sustainability in the care sector while maintaining operational excellence and continuity of care delivery.
