Blueleaf achieves Green Mark Level 2 accreditation

We are delighted to announce that Blueleaf has achieved Green Mark Level 2 Accreditation, an internationally recognised environmental certification that validates how sustainability is managed, measured and continually improved throughout our business.

Green Mark is an independent sustainability accreditation programme that assesses organisations against framework covering environmental management, governance, procurement, waste, utilities, business travel and continuous improvement.

Achieving Level 2 demonstrates that sustainability at Blueleaf is more than a collection of standalone initiatives. It confirms that sustainability principles are embedded into our policies, processes and day-to-day decision-making, supported by documented evidence and clear accountability.

As part of the accreditation process, we worked closely with Green Mark to review our environmental management practices and strengthen the systems that help us measure, manage and reduce our environmental impact. This included enhancing our governance framework, establishing measurable sustainability objectives, formalising reporting processes, and introducing new approaches to sustainable procurement and supplier assessment.

The accreditation reflects a number of important developments across the business, including:

·       The establishment of a formal Sustainability Committee and governance structure.

·       Enhanced environmental policies, objectives and performance measures.

·       New processes to assess and monitor supplier sustainability performance.

·       Improved procedures for document control, waste management and environmental awareness.

·       Stronger monitoring of environmental impacts and opportunities for continuous improvement.

For our customers, Green Mark provides independent assurance that Blueleaf is taking a structured and accountable approach to sustainability. It also supports our wider ESG ambitions and strengthens the evidence base behind our sustainability commitments.

This achievement is an important milestone in our sustainability journey, but it is not the end of it. We remain committed to continuous improvement and will continue to build on the strong foundations established through the Green Mark framework as we work towards our future sustainability goals.
